Galaxy S10+ vs Galaxy S9+: Specifications

These are expensive phones, that's for sure. However, the Galaxy S10+ is even worse and comes in at $999. You'll have to decide if these changes, or upgrades, are worth paying extra for.

Galaxy S10+ Specs

  • 6.4-inch 3040 x 1440 Quad-HD AMOLED Curved Display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 or Samsung Exynos Processor
  • 128, 512, or 1TB of internal storage (MicroSD slot included)
  • 8 GB of RAM (Compared to only 6GB on S9+) (Ceramic model has 12GB)
  • Android 9 Pie with Samsung One UI
  • Triple Rear Cameras: 12, 12, 16MP (Regular variable aperture, telephoto, and super wide-angle) Main 12MP Dual Pixel will still have OIS, 960 FPS slo-mo, and more
  • Dual 8 and 10MP front-facing camera inside the screen (top right corner)
  • In-Display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the glass near the bottom (similar to past fingerprint scanner placements)
  • IP68 dust & water resistance (5ft for 30 minutes)
  • 4,100 mAh battery with Faster & Wireless Charging (and reverse wireless charging)
  • Always-On Display, 3D Emoji (like animoji)
  • Samsung Pay, Bixby 2.0, USB Type-C, 3.5mm headphone jack, more

Galaxy S9+ Specs

  • 6.2-inch 2960 x 1440 Quad-HD AMOLED Curved Display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 or Samsung Exynos Processor
  • 64GB of internal storage (Micro-SD slot included) and 6GB RAM
  • Android 8.0 Oreo with Samsung Experience UI (or Android 9 Pie and One UI)
  • 12 Dualpixel Rear Camera - OIS, phase detection auto-focus, variable f/1.5-2.4 aperture camera, 960 FPS slow-motion, more
  • 8 megapixel front camera with autofocus, f/1.7 aperture
  • Rear-Mounted Fingerprint Scanner & Face Unlock (Using Iris and Face-unlock technology combined)
  • IP68 dust & water resistance (5ft for 30 minutes)
  • 3,500 mAh battery with Fast & Wireless Charging
  • Always-On Display, 3D Emoji (like animoji)
  • Samsung Pay, Bixby Virtual Assistant, USB Type-C, 3.5mm headphone jack, more

As you can see, these are two powerful phones, but the Galaxy S10+ has some major changes. The most notable differences are the bigger 6.4-inch screen, the massive 4,100 mAh battery, extra RAM for improved performance, double the storage to 128GB or even a crazy 1TB. Not to mention a microSD slot if you want even more, and that in-display fingerprint scanner.

These phones might look similar at first glance, but everything is bigger, faster, or better.
