Price & Release Date

And finally, last but not least, we need to talk about pricing and the release date. As we all know, Samsung's Galaxy S10+ is available as we speak, after hitting shelves in early March, and it's really expensive.

  • The Galaxy S10+ starts at $999 with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM.
  • The Galaxy S10 5G is rumored to cost $1,299 with 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM

Plus, you can buy another variant of the S10 Plus that has 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, or even a 1TB model that costs an arm and a leg. Realistically though, you don't need 1TB when you can just add a microSD card.

The only other factor here is the release date of the Galaxy S10 5G. Reports this week suggest the Galaxy S10 5G release date is April 5th in South Korea, and other regions will follow quickly behind them. We've yet to get an official launch date from US carriers.

That said, Verizon's 5G network will officially launch on April 11th, and there's a good chance the Galaxy S10 5G will be available to buy or pre-order on that same day.

Just remember that while 5G is exciting and the next frontier, it's not all this phone has to offer when compared to the Galaxy S10+. You just need to decide how big is too big, and if you can afford it.
