Your Galaxy Tab Update Could Be Months Away

The Galaxy Tab S4 Android Pie update is days away, but updates for other models might be several months away.

According to Samsung's roadmap, updates for other Galaxy Tab models could come in September and October of this year.

  • Galaxy Tab S3 9.7 - September, 2019
  • Galaxy Tab A (2017) - October, 2019
  • Galaxy Tab Active 2 - October, 2019
  • Galaxy Tab A 10.5 - October, 2019

We could see these updates roll out sooner than this, but these devices are clearly pretty far down in the pecking order.

The Galaxy Tab S4 update might start this month, but that doesn't mean everyone will get the software in April.

If you own a Galaxy Tab S4 in a major market, you'll likely be among the first to Samsung's Android Pie update.

The first phase of Samsung's Android roll outs is typically focused on bigger markets like the United States, South Korea, and select markets in Europe. From there, they typically move onto smaller markets.

The roll out will take time so you'll need to stay patient and keep an eye out for information as we move through the year.
