Apple changed Siri’s voice in iOS 11 to a more upbeat and natural sounding voice, but the default voice is a little too upbeat for many people. This guide will show you how to change Siri’s to a male voice, and how to change Siri’s Accent on your iPhone in iOS 11.
This takes about 15 seconds to change, but you will need to wait for a new Siri voice to download before you hear it take effect. The iPhone or iPad will automatically download the right gender and accent for you when you switch to a new Siri voice.
All Siri voices are free. You don’t nee to download an app from the iPhone app store or pay for any of these options. You can choose a male or female voice and you can pick from an American, Australian or British accent. Changing any of these Siri options will not impact what Siri can do, just what your personal assistant sounds like.
