This takes about 15 seconds to change, but you will need to wait for a new Siri voice to download before you hear it take effect. The iPhone or iPad will automatically download the right gender and accent for you when you switch to a new Siri voice.
All Siri voices are free. You don’t nee to download an app from the iPhone app store or pay for any of these options. You can choose a male or female voice and you can pick from an American, Australian or British accent. Changing any of these Siri options will not impact what Siri can do, just what your personal assistant sounds like.

- Go to Settings.

- Tap on Siri Voice
- Choose the Siri Gender
- Choose the Siri Accent
Wait for it to download and then enjoy the new Siri voice and accent on your iPhone or iPad. On this main Siri screen you can also change other Siri options like when you will hear voice feedback and you can turn on Hey Siri if you haven’t already done so.
