When and How to Check for Oreo
If you're excited about this update you're likely wondering when you'll get it. As we've mentioned a few times, that's somewhat of a mystery. Some have it already, others are waiting for a beta to finish, while some haven't heard a peep from Huawei or Honor.
Huawei and most Android partners don't really share release timeframes, simply because everything is subject to change. Problems arise, dates get pushed back, and schedules are a risky business.
That said, expect Android Oreo for your Huawei or Honor phone sometime in February, or March. We don't think too many will push into April, but it's possible.
When it does arrive, you'll hear about it here or on social media or Android news sites. Once that happens for your device, just wait for the OTA (over the air) notification. Or, you can head to Settings > About Phone > Check for updates to manually get it faster. This doesn't always work, but typically you can pull it to your phone faster than waiting for it to simply come.
You can also check update schedules for your carrier, to see if they have any news regarding an update or release schedule.
