Bug Fixes & Performance Improvements

The iOS 11.2.5 update is a maintenance upgrade which means it should bring a nice list of bug fixes for iOS 11 problems. Some of these fixes will be listed in the change log, others won't.

iPhone and iPad users testing the iOS 11.2.5 beta 1, beta 2beta 3, and beta 4 have discovered bug fixes that could make it into the final release. The list currently includes various performance improvements.

According to beta testers, choppy video in YouTube when accessing multitasking is now fixed in iOS 11.2.5. Apple Pay Suica transit, charge, and transaction notifications also appear to be working normally in the beta.

We're running iOS 11.2.5 beta and it's running smoothly on our test devices. In fact, in some cases (on the iPhone 7), it feels snappier than iOS 11.2.1 and iOS 11.2.2.

We've had issues with lag on iOS 11.2.2, iOS 11.2.1, and iOS 11.2 so we're hoping iOS 11.2.5 resolves those on our older iPhone models.

We haven't heard anything about battery life improvements, but there's always a chance iOS 11.2.5 fixes battery life woes, broken Wi-Fi, and busted Bluetooth.

Nothing to get excited about. Still haven’t made the music app useful again. Photo app is all messed up also.
