Apple hasn’t confirmed the iOS 11.2 release date yet, but there’s a good chance it lands in 2017.
The iOS 11.2 won’t deliver a long list of new emoji characters, but it’s shaping up to be another solid milestone release for Apple’s stable of mobile devices.
Apple’s iOS 11.2 update is currently in beta and the current version delivers a nice list of changes including Apple Pay Cash, faster wireless charging for the iPhone 8/iPhone 8 Plus/iPhone X, a fix for a calculator issue, and several other notable tweaks.
Most of these features should make it into the final iOS 11.2 release though Apple could hold some back for additional testing if its needed.
