Patch for Malicious Link Exploit

Patch for Malicious Link Exploit

Apple's latest iOS 11.2.5 beta appears to patch up a malicious link exploit that's been making the rounds recently.

If you receive a certain link (we're not going to publish it here) through your device's Messages app, your iPhone or iPad can lockup or respring. The Messages app will also become unusable on your phone or tablet.

You don't even have to click the link to encounter issues. You simply need to receive it and that's obviously a pretty major issue.

As of right now, the only way to restore functionality is to close the Messages app and delete the entire conversation from your device.

Once iOS 11.2.5 arrives, this issue should be patched up for good and that's obviously great news.

Nothing to get excited about. Still haven’t made the music app useful again. Photo app is all messed up also.
