iOS 11.2.5 Jailbreak Also MIA

iOS 11.2.5 Jailbreak Also MIA

Earlier this year, jailbreak developers released a working iOS 11 jailbreak. Unfortunately, it's available for select versions of iOS 11.

The current iOS 11 jailbreak (which comes without Cydia and is aimed at more advanced users) is compatible with devices running iOS 11.0-iOS 11.1.2. It's not compatible with iOS 11.2, iOS 11.2.1, iOS 11.2.2, or the iOS 11.2.5 beta.

The release is great news for those running older iOS 11 builds, but those running newer versions can't utilize the tool. There's no way to downgrade to anything older than iOS 11.2.

Jailbreak developers haven't publicly teased anything for the iOS 11.2.5 beta or iOS 11.2.5 update. This doesn't rule anything out, but it doesn't instill much confidence going forward.

An iOS 11.2.5 jailbreak isn't out of the question, but we aren't getting our hopes up now that a working iOS 11 jailbreak is out.

For now, you must be on iOS 11.0-iOS 11.1.2, iOS 10 or iOS 9 to jailbreak an iPhone or iPad.

Nothing to get excited about. Still haven’t made the music app useful again. Photo app is all messed up also.
