Apple reportedly has an iOS 9.1 update in development. Rumor has it, the update will arrive alongside a 12-inch iPad Pro (and an iPad mini 4) in October. This isn't confirmed but this is what we're expecting from the company this fall. With iOS 8, Apple shifted to a new update strategy that calls for multiple iOS x.x updates spread throughout the year. We saw Apple release iOS 8.1, iOS 8.2, iOS 8.3, and iOS 8.4. It also included an early iOS 8.1 release date. iOS 8.1 landed in October alongside new iPads and Apple Pay. And that's what makes these iOS 9.1 release rumors credible. We'd expect iOS 9.1 to be released in 2015 and we'd expect it to bring more than just bug fixes to the iPhone 5. | ||||||||
