Don't Expect a Massive Battery Life Increase

If you go into the iOS 9 install thinking your battery life is going to be extended for a full hour every single day, think again.

When Apple announced iOS 9, it promised up to a hour boost to iPhone battery life. Key words "up to." It didn't promise a full on hour long battery life boost for every single person using an iPhone. That would've been pretty bold.

While we aren't getting an extra hour every day, we have seen some quality gains especially to standby battery life. The device doesn't seem to drain as fast as it did when it's not being used.

We're still able to get a full day out of the iPhone 5 when using a mixture of Wi-Fi and AT&T's LTE network but we were able to get a fully day of use on iOS 8 and iOS 7 as well.

While we're not seeing a mind-blowing boost to battery on our version of the iPhone 5, we have fallen in love with Low Power Mode. It has already saved us more than a few times. It's one of our favorite iOS 9 features.
