Production on Apple's new iPhone 6s processor supposedly kicked into gear in mid-July. Apple's manufacturers are reportedly in the process of making the A9 chip, a brand new processor that will replace Apple's A8 from last year. 

Apple's A9 processor is rumored to have a solid supporting cast. Rumors have continually pointed to an upgrade from 1GB of RAM to 2GB of RAM in both iPhone 6s models and we've also heard rumors about a brand new Qualcomm chip. 

According to 9to5Mac, the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will come with a Qualcomm MDM9635M chip. The chip is expected to deliver faster LTE capabilities and more efficiency when it comes to battery life. Battery life will reportedly be in focus this year with hardware changes and the tweaks coming with iOS 9.
