iPhone XS Release: 5 Things to Expect & 4 Not To

With the iPhone XS release date getting closer, we want to take you through some things you should, and shouldn’t expect, from Apple in the fall.

Apple’s confirmed an event for September 12th and it looks like the company is planning to announce three new iPhone models alongside iOS 12, new iPads, and a new Apple Watch.

The news isn’t surprising. Apple typically uses the month of September to distribute its yearly upgrade to the iOS operating system and to launch brand new hardware. iPhone announcements typically happen in the first half of the month followed by a release a week or so later.

iPhone XS rumors currently point to an arrival along the same timeline and those in the market for a new iPhone should consider waiting a few more days for Apple’s new products to arrive.

Apple is reportedly working on at least three new iPhones for release this fall. One, a 5.8-inch model, will likely be the direct successor to the original iPhone X. One is a larger 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus. And one is a cheaper 6.1-inch LCD model that will supposedly come in a variety of colors.

iPhone SE 2 rumors swirled for months, but rumors have died down and analysts close to Apple’s supply chain aren’t expecting a surprise release this fall.

If iPhone XS rumors have you waiting to buy your next device, you’re probably curious about their release date, pre-orders, and potential deals. It’ll be a few more days before Apple confirms, but we can take you through a few things to expect.

This walkthrough will help you set proper expectations ahead of the iPhone XS release and help you prepare for a potential purchase this fall.

iPhone XS Pre-Order Date

iPhone XS Pre-Order Date

Per usual, we expect Apple to confirm two key dates related to the iPhone XS release on stage during its media event.

The first date is the pre-order date or the first day you'll be able to place an order for one of Apple's new iPhone models.

iPhone pre-orders typically kick off at 12:01AM Pacific the Friday after the announcement and we expect Apple to keep its long-running formula intact this year.

That means there's just one date you should circle on your calendar if you're planning to buy a new iPhone the second it goes on sale at Apple and its retail partners:

  • September 14th

Again, with the event date taking place on the 12th and German carriers citing September 14th as the iPhone XS pre-order date, there's a very good chance September 14th ends up being pre-order day.

If you need to make special arrangements because you plan to stay up late/wake up early in order to pre-order an new iPhone, look into that now.

You can’t just shift all of it out on your doorstep or maybe your lawn and wait
for a garbage collect truck to haul it away after 3 to
4 days or even later. The recycled items may be used to produce a wide range of different things.

You will also have to have lights and traffic cones at each and every end with the skip if it is sited for the road.
