LG G6 Release: 5 Reasons to Wait & 3 Reasons Not To

Release Date & Price

Another important aspect of the LG G6 will be the price and release date. This is both good and bad, but stick with me for a minute.

LG wants to beat Samsung to market. Because the Galaxy Note 7 was recalled, and the Galaxy S8 has been delayed. And they just might. LG has already confirmed a launch event for February 26th in Spain during Mobile World Congress. Just like the G5 and Galaxy S7 last year. Only Samsung won't be showing off their phone. Meaning LG will have the lime-light, at least for flagship phones.

We're also hearing it will be released around the end of March, or the first week of April at the latest. That's good news, because the Galaxy S8 won't be here until around the end of April. As a result, LG should be front and center to kick-off 2017 with a high-end premium bezel-free phone.

Oh, and one more thing. The price. The LG G6 will almost certainly be priced under $749, and possible under $700. They typically undercut Samsung and Apple by over $100, while matching them with specs. The G5 was cheaper than Samsung or HTC, and we expect that trend to continue this year. Meaning the G6 could be a great buy as March comes to a close.
