Android M vs. Android Lollipop
We don't know if the Nexus 7 will get Android M but that doesn't mean that you can't prepare. Android M isn't going to bring widespread visual changes to the Android OS but it will be bringing loads of changes and features that you need to be aware of.
Google outlined a number of Android M features on stage at Google I/O. If you tuned into the live stream (or if you were there) you probably caught some of them. Google didn't announce every Android M feature on stage though.
We've been poking around the developer preview looking for some of these lesser known features and we've come up with a comparison that not only outlines these features but compares them to Android Lollipop. It's a great starting point for those of you that own a Nexus 7 and are interested in the comparison.
We highly recommend getting familiar with Android M before the Android M release date in Q3. This way, you'll be prepared for the changes if the Nexus 7 Android M release does come like we expect it to.
