How to Install Android 5.1.1 Early
Google's Android 5.1.1 OTA is going to roll out slowly. We can't say how long these updates will take but typically Google's Nexus roll out spans across one or two weeks. Many of you won't see the Android 5.1.1 update on the day that it arrives.
Fortunately, you can skip Google's OTA roll out. Google allows Nexus users to sideload its new software ahead of the release. Manually installing the update will get you to Android 5.1.1 much faster but it's going to be a little bit tricky for novice users.
