The Nexus 5 Android 5.1.1 update is also confirmed thanks to Rogers and thanks to Sprint. Sprint says that the Nexus 5 Android 5.1.1 update is imminent though Google hasn't confirmed a specific release date for its aging former flagship.

The Nexus 5 Android 5.1.1 release should be just around the corner. Once the update starts rolling out, it should be a week or two before Google is able to get the software out to all Nexus 5 users. Thanks to Android Police, we know what’s coming with the Android 5.1.1 update. While the update won’t bring any new features to the Nexus 5, it’s going to bring crucial bug fixes that will hopefully restore stability to a phone that desperately needs fixes.

There are a bunch of bug fixes on board but the Nexus 5's Android 5.1.1 update in particular should fix a camera crashing problem on the Nexus 5 that appears to be unrelated to the memory leak issues. If you're experiencing this problem, keep an eye out for Android 5.1.1.
