Nexus 7 Android 5.1.1 Release

The Nexus 7 Android 5.1.1 update is already available for the Nexus 7 2012 Wi-Fi and Nexus 7 2013 Wi-Fi. The update should be complete or at least close to completition now that it's several days old.

We recently dug into the Nexus 7 2013 Android 5.1.1 update to provide feedback to Nexus 7 users. Thus far, the update is holding up quite nicely. Battery life is solid, connectivity is fast, and we haven't noticed any weird problems or lag.

We're also seeing positive feedback from other Nexus 7 Android 5.1.1 users and that's a great sign for those that have yet to receive the update.

Nexus 7 3G and Nexus 7 LTE users are still on Android 5.1 and it's not clear when or if Android 5.1.1 will be rolling out. Don't expect Google to confirm either way until the files magically appear in Google's Android Open Source Project.

We'd be surprised if these two devices failed to garner an Android 5.1.1 update. Android 5.1 is extremely buggy and they need fixes.
