New Nexus Devices

Before we talk anymore about the release of Android Nougat, there's something even more exciting in the works, which are new Nexus smartphones or tablets.

Each year Google's released new devices along with the next version of Android. The problem here, is that we haven't seen too many leaks regarding what to expect this year. With Android 7.0 here today, we're not expecting new Nexus phones until sometime next month. Maybe even later.

Rumor has it that Google and HTC have partnered up once again and will be building two HTC Nexus smartphones for 2016 running Android N. One being a 5-inch smartphone to replace the Nexus 5X, and the second being a 5.5-inch model, similar to the Nexus 6P.

The first Google phone, the Nexus One, was made by HTC. And now it looks like the two are working together once again to build a pair of premium high-end all metal smartphones to showcase fingerprint scanners, Android Pay, USB Type-C, front facing speakers and more all on Android N. Stay tuned for more details.
