Earlier this week OnePlus confirmed some bad news. Yes the smartphone launched today as promised, and those with an invite (more on those next) can head to OnePlus.net and buy the phone today, but it won't arrive for at least 2-3 weeks.
According to the official OnePlus forums the company is having some "shipment scheduling delays" and as of today, the device won't ship to those in the United States for at least 2-3 weeks. In fact, the statement actually states those in the US will get it 2-3 weeks "after" shipments finish in Europe. Europe was delayed 3-5 days as well.
This means that within 2-3 weeks from August 16th, is when we can expect the OnePlus 2 to start arriving on doorsteps for buyers in the United States and Canada.
We're also hearing India and a few regions outside of Europe have been delayed 5-7 days as well. Basically what this all means is the August 11th release date is somewhat inaccurate, but the phones will start arriving soon, hopefully before the end of the month.
