OnePlus 6 vs Pixel 2 XL: Design

This next one is tough. Google's Pixel 2 XL has a beautiful design, even if it does feel a little outdated. The OnePlus 6 looks like a phone from 2018, while the Pixel doesn't.

Just like Samsung or Apple, the OnePlus 6 has a premium metal and glass design, with glass covering the front and the back. So, it's no longer a very durable phone. Google's Pixel 2 XL only has a tiny bit of glass on the back, near the camera. They'll both probably break from a far enough drop, but the Pixel is probably more durable.

Both phones have a huge screen with tiny bezels and a fingerprint scanner on the back. Sadly though, even with a glass-back on the OnePlus 6, it doesn't have wireless charging. That's ok though because Google's phone doesn't have it either.

The biggest deciding factor regarding the design is the notch in the screen, dual cameras on the OnePlus 6, and the front-facing speakers of the Pixel 2 XL. Otherwise, these are two premium phones. One other thing to consider is the Pixel is IP67 dust and water-resistant. The OP6 is just "daily water resistant", whatever that means. The OnePlus 6 has a 3.5mm headphone jack too, in case you want that.
