OnePlus 6 vs Pixel 2 XL: Camera(s)

Typically, the camera is always a weak link for OnePlus, but this might be their year. They're using a bigger 1.22um sensor with a fast f/1.7 aperture, and it finally has optical and electronic image stabilization. At least the main camera. The secondary lens is 20MP and helps take portrait-mode photography and a few other things. It's not a zoom lens like some other phones.

Google's Pixel 2 XL, on the other hand, has a single 12.3 MP camera on the back. That single camera takes amazing photos, some of the best, and matches (or beats) all those portrait mode features without having a second lens. Google's AI and machine learning makes the camera take amazing photos.

Honestly, the OnePlus 6 won't beat the Pixel in the camera department. It'll come close, and deliver a great experience that most will love, but it won't beat it. Take that for what it's worth. This will be the best camera we've seen from OnePlus, and it'll surely do a fine job in most situations.
