The iPhone 7 comes with a dust and IP67 water resistant design which means it will stay alive if you drop it into a toilet or another shallow body of water.

It can survive 30 minutes in 3.3 feet of water, but it’s not fully waterproof so you can't take it, or the iPhone 6s, scuba diving. Water damage is not covered under the traditional warranty.
