Wait For Reviews

While we absolutely loved our limited time with the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook back at CES earlier in 2020, that wasn't enough time to fully judge the device.

It's clear that Samsung put some thought, time, and effort into this device, but there are a few areas we're concerned about. For one, a device this expensive should have a great camera for video calls or work conference meetings, and the Galaxy Chromebook doesn't. Well, it does, but with limits. The main camera is 8MP and sits above the keyboard so you can only use it while in tent-mode, which means you can't do a video call and work at the same time using it. However, they did add a tiny 1MP camera above the screen, a webcam, but it's obviously not very good quality.

Then, the speakers are on both sides, but aiming sideways, rather than up through the keyboard or facing upwards, so we're not sure how great it'll sound.

Basically, maybe you should wait for reviews to hear all the good and the bad before you run out and spend $1,000 on a Google Chrome OS Chromebook laptop. That's a lot of money to spend.

I mean, it'll probably be worth it, but there's no hurt in waiting.
