Don't Buy if You Really Need a MacBook Pro
The MacBook Air is a solid device with specs that meet the needs of many users. That said, it's not going toe to toe with the MacBook Pro.
Do you need a powerhouse that can edit 4K video every day without connecting to an eGPU? Are you in need of 32GB of RAM for resource-intensive apps and tasks? If you answer yes to either of these questions don't try to make a MacBook Air work for you.
While you get nice specs on the MacBook Air, there is still a clear line in the sand between the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro.
