Don't Buy if You Really Need a MacBook Pro
The MacBook Air is a solid device with specs that meet the needs of many users. That said, it's not going toe to toe with the MacBook Pro.
Do you need a powerhouse that can edit 4K video every day without connecting to an eGPU? Are you in need of 32GB of RAM for resource intensive apps and tasks? If you answer yes to either of these questions don't try to make a MacBook Air work for you.
While you get nice specs on the MacBook Air, there is still a clear line in the sand between the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro.
