Xbox Game Pass subscribers get Sea of Thieves on release day thanks to a massive change in how the service works. For now on, any new exclusive Xbox game comes to Game Pass on the day it launches on disc and in the Xbox Store. This also applies to new entries in the Gears of War and Halo franchises. A 20% discount on games in the Game Pass library will allow subscribers to buy a digital copy of Sea of Thieves for $47.99 a month after release.
