We finally have Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo Switch. We’ll help you decide if you should place your Super Smash Bros. Ultimate pre-order, or if you are better off waiting at this point.

The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate release date is December 7th, coming in after Black Friday, but well before Christmas. We know that you will get to play with the full roster from previous Super Smash Bros. games, and that it will support the Amiibos from previous games, so if you have any, you should hang onto them.

This is the first new Super Smash Bros. game in nearly four years, and it’s the first version to come to the Nintendo Switch. We also know that you can use a GameCube controller with the Switch to get an edge in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on the Switch. You will need an adapter, and you may want to pre-order one of the special edition controllers.

Nintendo Switch owners have been waiting a long time for this game, and many GameCube and Wii owners have as well, especially if they skipped buying a Wii U. Thankfully there is not a long wait for the game and retailers are already taking Super Smash Bros. Ultimate pre-orders, with some deals available. You can pre-order at GameStop, Best Buy, Target and Amazon in the U.S.

Here are the reasons why you may want to buy the game today, and why you might want to wait a few weeks, or even until late December to buy Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch.
