5 Reasons to Wait for the Galaxy S20 Ultra & 3 Reasons Not To

Wait For A Bigger Screen

Wait For A Bigger Screen

If you can handle it, Samsung will be delivering some huge screens this year on the Galaxy S series. Bigger than anything they've released, and the Ultra will be bigger than the Galaxy Note 10.

Based on everything we've seen and heard so far this is what Samsung will do with the S20 series and the big screens. Initial reports said the smallest model would be 6.4 but now most are suggesting 6.2-inches instead.

  • Galaxy S20: 6.2 or 6.4-inch AMOLED
  • Galaxy S20 Plus: 6.67-inch Quad-HD AMOLED
  • Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G: 6.9-inch Quad-HD AMOLED

Those sizes are obviously bigger than the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S9, and pretty much every other phone released by Samsung. Even the Galaxy Note 10 isn't that big, so we're a bit concerned with how consumers will react.

Honestly, it looks like Samsung is hoping to sell a ton of the smaller Galaxy S20 at a lower price point, similar to Apple's iPhone 11. Then, offer two bigger much-improved models for those that want the biggest and the best. Personally, the Galaxy Note 10+ was too big for me, so I'll have a hard time deciding here, and choosing which one to buy when I replace my Galaxy S10+ which is only 6.4-inches in size.

And finally, all the leaks say that Samsung is still using its curved glass design with the Infinity display, but the most recent leaks suggest that it's a little more flat than usual. Basically, if you hate the curved edges, the S20 might finally be the year Samsung tones them down a little bit.
