Update Your Galaxy Note 8

As we approach the start of the Galaxy Note 8's Android Oreo roll out it's important to keep your device updated with the latest software.

Samsung and its carrier partners continue to roll out monthly software updates to the Galaxy Note 8 bringing important bug fixes and security patches to your device.

It can be easy to fall behind on these updates. If you do fall behind, your device isn't protected and you're probably looking at a much longer Android Oreo download process. You'll need to download those updates in addition to Android Oreo.

If you aren't sure what software version you're currently running on your Galaxy Note 8, go into your device's Settings and head into the About section to check the current version. The most recent patch from Samsung is the March security update

If you aren't running the latest software, head back into the About section and check for a software update. If one is available, you'll be prompted to download it.
