Samsung's Galaxy S7 Oreo roll out won't happen overnight. Once the release starts, it could be weeks, even months, before you get the upgrade.
We expect the Galaxy S7's Oreo firmware to emerge soon after the roll outs begin. This firmware will allow some of you to skip the Over-the-Air (OTA) roll out. If you aren't familiar with how the sideloading process works on Galaxy phones, and you think you might want to skip the wait for Android Oreo OTA, now would be a good time to educate yourself. There are a ton of sideloading tutorials out there. If the sideloading process feels complicated to you, you should wait for the Android Oreo update to emerge OTA for your phone.
