How Long Will the Android 8.0 Oreo Update Take?

The Galaxy S8 Oreo update is 500MB or so in most regions so you can expect Android 8.0 Oreo to take a couple of minutes to download over high speed Wi-Fi and 5+ minutes to install on your device.

Mileage will of course vary and your exact download and installation time will be based on your connection speed and your current version of Android.

If you don't have all day to check for new software, you might want to schedule your software updates to install at a very specific time.

To set a schedule for your Samsung Galaxy S8's software updates, go to your device's Settings and tap on Software update.

From there, you can use the scheduling option to set a time for the Android Oreo update, or other software updates, to install on your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+.

We recommend setting it to a time when you're normally asleep. That way, it won't suck up your device's battery when you need it the most.

It’s a big mistake to purchase amazing Galaxy S8+. Cause Samsung’s sucks they don’t care about customers. I purchase Samsung in last year April. Google is planning for android 9 and Samsung is still figuring out Android 8.
This is a shame for Samsung to not even giving software update to premium customers
