Summer is now in full swing which means that the Android smartphone market has heated up to a boil, leaving those looking for a new smartphone with some tough choices. The Android platform of course has a number of big name smartphones on the market including the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4, but that doesn’t mean the lineup can’t be narrowed down to the very best.
After a rather slow start to the beginning of the year, the smartphone market, and the Android one in particular, now offers a number of big name smartphones that are sure to tempt those in the market for a new device. In April, we saw the launches of both the HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S4, two big name smartphones that replaced the HTC One X and X+ as well as the Samsung Galaxy S3.
Just a short time ago, we learned that later on this month, Google will be releasing special Nexus versions of these devices on the Google Play Store, two devices that should make things even more complicated for those in the hunt for something new.
Making matters worse, Sony is expected to launch its flagship smartphone on a carrier in the United States in the coming days, with all signs pointing to an Xperia Z launch on T-Mobile. And, of course, we also have some aging devices that remain at the top of the list, despite their age.
Needless to say, the Android smartphone market is one that is littered with options, options that are likely to confuse and confound those that are moving from a different platform or are simply looking to upgrade from one Android smartphone to another.
Here, we take a look at what we consider to be the five best Android smartphones for the month of June, 2013.
