What's Next

Now that Android 8.1 Oreo is here, what's next? Well, we don't really know. Of course, the usual monthly security updates will come in January, February, and beyond. Outside of that, we'll have to wait and see. 

If there are new bugs introduced or other issues that continue to surface on Oreo, we could see Android 8.1.1 or 8.22 at some point down the road. 

The company hasn't confirmed any other updates, but we know Android P is coming sometime in March or April as a developer beta test.

Any guesses for the name. Android 9.0 Pancake, Popcycle, Pineapple, Pear, Peach, etc. Stay tuned.
