Apple is set to deliver a ton of new iOS 11 features in the iOS 11.3 update that is coming in early 2018. Just after releasing iOS 11.2.5, Apple announced the iOS 11.3 update for iPhone and iPad, which will deliver exciting upgrades to the iPhone X with new Animoji, better AR experiences on devices as old as the iPhone SE and other key safety and usability features. We’ll walk you through what is new in iOS 11.3 and what is new in iOS 11 as of today.
The iOS 11.3 update is the first major update since iOS 11.2, and it brings with it new features that add to Apple Pay Cash and the other exciting iOS 11 features that Apple upgraded users to last fall.
Where possible we will compare iOS 11.3 to iOS 10 so you know what is changing when you upgrade. This is especially important if you want to make sure Apple isn’t downgrading a feature you use every day or changing how it works dramatically. We’ll also highlight the new iOS 11.3 features first, so you can see what you will get if you are already on iOS 11.
The iOS 11.2.5 update is now available for your iPhone and iPad with hundreds of new features for the iPhone and iPad. This free update is available to install over the air or through iTunes and should take about 10 minutes to install. The iOS 11.3 update is coming this spring. We will see an iOS 11.3 beta in February which will allow developers to test the new features.
The iOS 11.2.5 update is free for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, but only works on a select group of devices.
- iPhone 5s and newer iPhones
- iPad Air (All Models)
- iPad Pro (All Models)
- iPad 5th generation
