Minecraft Limited Edition Xbox One S Pre-Orders

Published

on

After what feels like years of teasing, you can place your Minecraft Limited Edition Xbox One S pre-orders now for $399.

The Minecraft Limited Edition Xbox One S is Microsoft’s new collector’s edition console for lovers of Minecraft. The company purchased the developer behind the game in 2014. Since then, it has added new versions of the game on every platform and continued to release new spin-offs, like Minecraft Story Mode

This new Minecraft Limited Edition Xbox One S is for very big fans of the survival and open-wold title. It comes with a copy of the game so that anyone still on the Xbox 360 doesn’t need to spend more money buying another copy of Minecraft when they update. Because it’s a custom console, it’s also a cool looking collector’s item. Its painted and stylized body matches the game’s Earth blocks. Buyers also get a custom Creeper controller with their purchase.

Microsoft’s Minecraft Limited Edition Xbox One S launches this October. Here’s what you need to know about Minecraft Limited Edition Xbox One S pre-orders right now.

Minecraft Limited Edition Xbox One S Pre-Orders Price

The Minecraft Limited Edition Xbox One S price is $399.99 That’s $50 more than a white Xbox One S with 1TB of storage costs and $150 more than Microsoft’s existing Minecraft Xbox One S bundle costs. Gamers are clearly paying a premium for the console’s updated controller and custom paint job.

Minecraft Limited Edition Xbox One S Release Date

Again, the Xbox One S launches on October 3rd, 2017. That’s roughly a month before Microsoft releases its other new video game console, the Xbox One X. Depending on where you pre-order, your console should arrive on that day. Retail stores, like GameStop, will have the Minecraft Limited Edition Xbox One S in stock.

Why Buyers Need Minecraft Limited Edition Xbox One S Pre-Orders?

Don’t second guess placing Minecraft Limited Edition Xbox One S pre-orders. If you’re a fan of Minecraft, you will absolutely want one, and you don’t have time waste.

Microsoft doesn’t launch custom consoles that often. When it does, it calls them limited edition bundles because they aren’t permanent additions to its console line-up. When stock runs out, they’re gone for good. For example, Forza Motorsport 6 had its own custom console in a blue hue. You can only find the console used today.

Minecraft has millions of fans, and many of them will want this new console bundle. If you wait too long, you could be left out.

What Comes with the Minecraft Limited Edition Xbox One S

The Minecraft Limited Edition Xbox One S comes with the console itself, some subscription passes and everything that you need to get started in Minecraft right away.

The entire console looks like an Earth block from Minecraft. It’s green on the left and brown on the right where every Xbox One S has its system fan. The console’s bottom is clear so that you and your friends can admire the Redstone symbol on its bottom. This is the first Xbox One to have a clear bottom.

You get a matching Limited Edition Creeper Xbox Wireless Controller with this console, though you can also buy it separately. A power cable, HDMI cable and matching Xbox One X stand are inside the box.

As for Minecraft itself, Microsoft includes a code to unlock a digital copy of Minecraft. Another code in the box unlocks the Minecraft Redstone Bonus Content Pack. This content pack includes new biomes and skins.

Finally, Microsoft includes a one-month free trial of its Xbox Game Pass service and two weeks of Xbox Live Gold. Xbox Live Gold is the multiplayer service you need to enjoy your games with friends online. Game Pass is like Netflix for Xbox One titles; you get access to a large library of games. Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold cost $9.99 a month separately.

Where to Buy the Minecraft Limited Edition Xbox One S

In a typical launch, everyone would place their Minecraft Limited Edition Xbox One S pre-orders where they normally make their game purchases. That’s not the case with this new console.

The Microsoft Store has Minecraft Limited Edition Xbox One S pre-orders right now. Buying there gets you free shipping. Target has preorders for the console too.

Unfortunately, the three retailers you might turn to for a video game purchase normally don’t have Minecraft Limited Edition Xbox One S pre-orders up yet. GameStop, Toys R Us and Best Buy don’t list the console on their sites at all. Amazon doesn’t have pre-orders for the console available either.

Don’t give up buying your console at these stores just yet. There’s plenty of time for them to start taking pre-orders before October.
