DeX Turns the Note 8 into a Computer

With the Galaxy S8 Samsung debuted a new accessory called the DeX Station. DeX stands for Desktop Expansion. Basically, this little dock turns your Galaxy S8 or new Galaxy Note 8 into a full desktop computer experience.

The dock has fans built-in, charges your Note 8 while it's docked, and folds flat for easy storage when you travel. The DeX dock has Bluetooth, WiFi, HDMI-out for an HD Monitor, and USB ports for a keyboard and mouse.

DeX was somewhat popular with the Galaxy S8, but Samsung improved the software by leaps and bounds for the Note 8. Not to mention that 6GB of RAM will help with performance. Some of the noteworthy additions are you can now run more apps in fullscreen mode, run multiple apps at the same time, place live video calls, and even do screen sharing. Yes, share a work presentation with co-workers like you'd do on a MacBook all from the Galaxy Note 8.

And now, you can play games like Clash of Clans or Vainglory using a keyboard and mouse. It mirrors anything from the screen to a computer monitor for a bigger than life experience.
