Be sure to update your applications before you install Android Pie on your tablet. 

Samsung's updated many of its first-party applications with support for the Android Pie update and One UI.

The company says you'll need to update some apps including Calculator, Samsung Internet, Samsung Health, Samsung Notes, Samsung Members, and Samsung Pay individually.

These app updates deliver some new features and they'll help these apps maintain performance on Android 9.0 Pie. Applications that haven't been optimized for Android Pie might not work properly after you make the transition.

You'll also want to download updates for your third-party applications, but make sure you read reviews from Android Pie users before you do. Some updates could be problematic.
