Avoid iOS 14.8.1 if you're jailbroken or if you want to jailbreak. The developer teams behind the Checkra1n and unC0ver jailbreaking tools have released new versions which bring support for newer versions of iOS 14. The unC0ver tool works with newer iPhone models including the iPhone 12 series which is huge news for those who bought one of Apple's flagships from 2020. Unfortunately, unC0ver only works with iOS 14.3 and below. Checkra1n works with iOS 14.5 and below, but it's currently in beta so it may not be worth the trouble.
