10 Things to Do Before Installing the Galaxy Tab Oreo Update
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Android Oreo roll out has begun and there are some things you should do before you Android 8.0 Oreo update arrives.
Samsung promised a Galaxy Tab Oreo update in the first half of the year and the company delivered on that promise. Android 8.0 Oreo and the Samsung Experience 9.0 UI are officially available though the roll out is limited to the Galaxy Tab S3 with more updates planned for the future.
The Galaxy Tab Oreo update is rolling out to Galaxy Tab S3 users in Europe who own a SM-T820 and SM-T825. If you aren’t sure which model you have head into your device’s settings and check the About section. The update’s also rolling out in the United States.
The update is limited right now, but we expect the roll out to land for more Galaxy Tab S3 and other Galaxy tablets in the weeks ahead.
As expected, the Galaxy Tab Oreo update is a sizable upgrade bringing new features, tweaks, enhancements, and patches to the Galaxy Tab S3. It’s early, but we also expect it to bring a collection of problems to Samsung’s tablets.
Samsung and its partners put the Android Oreo update through testing behind the scenes, but problems have slipped into the final version of the software. It’s difficult to predict what problems you might see when you transition your device from Nougat to Oreo so you’ll want to be prepared.
In this guide we’ll help you prepare your Galaxy tablet for the Android Oreo update. A little preparation will help you avoid problems so make sure you set aside a few minutes to get yourself ready.
