Nexus 5 Android 6.0.1 OTA Should Be Complete

If you haven't received the Nexus 5 Android 6.0.1 update Over-the-Air yet, don't panic. The roll out is making progress and there's a good chance it will finish up soon.

The Nexus 5 Android 6.0.1 update started rolling out in force at the tail end of last week. Typically, Google's updates take a week, sometimes two, to roll out to everyone. The company won't announce a precise window but you can expect a majority of upgrades for unlocked Nexus 5 models to push this week.

If you're using a carrier-locked device, you might have to wait a little bit longer for Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow to roll out.

Update to 6.01 came through this morning (12/15/2015) for my Nexus 6 in the Birmingham, AL area. I have been told that geographic location makes a difference as to when you get an update. Have no idea if that is true or not but figured I’d mention where I’m at.

This is the worst excuse for a website. The focus is ads and not any useful information.

Download and install AdBlock extension for Chrome. I don’t see a single Add on this website.

I received the 6.0.1 Upgrade 4 days ago on my Nexus 5, 16GB, on the T-Mobile network. The Camera has crashed 4 times & I had to reboot every time to get it to work again. Other Apps lock up and I have to go to Settings, Apps, and Force Stop, then restart to get them to work again. Very Frustrating!

I live in Ky and have a Nexus 5 and T-mobile. Was it an OTA update or did you do it yourself?

Got update for my nexus 5 about 10 days back.
Not a good experience. My phone is getting restarted continuously. Moreover, facing issues with the power button. On just a short single click, the PowerOff option shows up.
