iOS 7 has only emerged once in rumors, spotted in developer logs, but other than that, the operating system remains a mystery.

However, given that Apple is apparently aiming to launch an iPhone 5S this summer rather than in the fall, we imagine that iOS 7 could also be on track to arrive a bit earlier for owners of Apple's older devices, including the iPhone 5.

In addition, now that Scott Forstall has left the company, and with Jony Ive and Craig Federighi at the helm of iOS, we could see some pretty drastic changes to the looks of iOS to go along with a host of new features.

The prospects of an early release and some new blood have us pretty excited to say the least.
