I wonder if they’ll replace the sharp outer edges with beveled/radius edges in the interest of ergonomics and eliminated related furniture damage.
Also, it’s see at last one standard USB port, the reintroduction of Magsafe 1 and the return of the glowing apple on the other side of the display.

I wonder when I should upgrade my 2013 MBP retina. It still works, but I wish I had at least a 1TB SSD. Anybody find the touchbar useful?

I used to have a 2012 MacBook Pro Retina.
Those computers are very well made, and the parts are replaceable.
If yours is still going strong I’d recommend getting the computer serviced and you can have the SSD switched out for a TB… i did the same.

Good article. I am one. of those who always overbuys tech in the beginning and then uses for a very long time. My 15″ mid-2014 MacBook Pro I purchased at a discount fully loaded as it was factory refurbished by Apple. It. has been great for more than 4.5 years. But now it. is time to look for the next great Mac. Looking at both the 2019 15″ MacBook and new photo grade monitor for home or maybe the new top line iMac with faster i9 8 core, well dressed out except for memory which I can buy much cheaper and install myself. Than maybe look to get in iPad Pro for lighter weight travel. (I carry a lot of camera gear). The iPad can be used for screening, sorting and pre-editing my road photography and since. I use a Lightroom centric work flow, anything done on the iPad will automatically sync to the iMac at home where I do my serious work. Decisions, decisions. I’ve loved my old MacBook Pro but it is banged up and technologically can’t quite keep up any more (well it can it just takes a lot longer to do things). Decisions, decisions. Bought a MBP 13 2019 (Touch Bar variety) recently. So far, all good. The best part was realizing that Mac is built on Unix, so as an added bonus I’ve been able to play with command lines on the Terminal and even set up things like Emacs (remember Emacs editor anyone?). I have the $1799 variety, and got a $100 educator’s discount (not a big discount, really, but helps). With this MBP I’ve moved from a still working but slow 2011 Thinkpad to something up to date and am enjoying it. I did try out quite a few Windows laptops before getting this MBP and probably would have been quite happy with a (cheaper than MBP) but top notch laptop, but then here I am with an MBP, probably lured by the fact that I do have the other Apple products (iPhone, watch and iPad Pro 10.5 which I use for various edu purposes but also for use on the go, leaving my laptop at home). Still have a good solid ACER PC desktop at home and that one will stay for several more years. Overall, for those who are wondering whether to move from a windows laptop to Mac, I’d say yes. Everything works, including MS Office (I have an edu-based account) and it is really quite nice. I’m just dreading the next credit card bill :( though.

I would strongly suggest changing your development strategy for this website. There is no reason to be fetching new URL paths while paging between “reason to _ buy ”
