While most Galaxy Note 8 users use Samsung Pay for mobile payments, some still rely on Google's Pay platform. If you're in the latter group, you'll want to avoid the beta. 

If your bank doesn't support Samsung Pay yet you're probably using Google Pay to make mobile payments with your device. If that's the case, stay on Oreo. 

The Android Pie/One UI breaks Google Pay. This isn't surprising, but it's something to keep in mind if you were thinking about moving to the beta before the official release. 

This isn't a temporary thing either. Google Pay will never work with the beta. That said, Samsung Pay works fine with the beta.
