Its taken awhile, but Samsung's finally brought Dolby Atmos support to the Galaxy Note 8 with Android Pie. 

The Galaxy Note 8 doesn't have stereo speakers which means the device only gets support for wired and Bluetooth audio. That's not a bad thing. 

Once you get Android Pie on board you should notice louder and improved audio. Samsung's also included Movie, Music, and Voice modes which will improve the audio experience on the former flagship. 

You can also set the feature to Auto which will automatically optimize the sound for whatever it is you're doing.
