According to a report from Nikkei Asia, the iPhone 15's production costs could prompt Apple to increase the price of the iPhone 16 series. While production costs increased, Apple didn't pass this along to customers. The iPhone 15's price remained static. The only change Apple made was the elimination of the 128GB iPhone Max model. Japanese research company Fomalhaut Techno Solutions believes if Apple continues to absorb these costs, it might increase the price of the iPhone 16 series to offset the trend so as not to hurt the company's bottom line. Another source concurs and suggests a change to the iPhone 16 Pro's camera lens means the devices could face "price pressure" in 2024. If a potential price jump scares you, you may not want to wait for the 2024 iPhone. | ||||||||||||||||||||
