Install for the Floating Keyboard

The Note 8's Android Pie update comes with a new floating mode for the stock Samsung Keyboard and it's useful if you sometimes struggle with the size of the display.

Samsung devices running Android KitKat had access to a useful floating keyboard, but the company removed the feature from Lollipop, Marshmallow, Nougat, and Oreo.

Fortunately, the company's brought the feature back in Android Pie and some of you might find it useful.

Samsung's new floating keyboard allows you to move the keyboard around the screen in order to find a sweet spot for two-handed typing.

So if you've got small hands or typing just feels awkward on the Note 8's large screen, try the Android Pie and enable the floating keyboard. You can use it with most apps.
