If you own a pair of original AirPods and those AirPods are plagued with battery life issues, you should think about pre-ordering the new model.
We've owned AirPods since launch back in May of 2017. And over time, we've seen their overall battery life drop substantially. We're barely able to get through a work call without having to switch or put them on the charger. At this stage, it doesn't make too much sense to repair them via Apple. The company will charge you $59 per AirPod and that's a lot to ask given the AirPods 2 price and list of improvements. Which, again, include battery enhancements. If your battery life has gone down the tube and rely on your AirPods everyday, think about pulling the trigger on a pre-order.
