Wait to Go Hands-On
If you're interested in buying the Galaxy Fold, you'll want to go hands-on with the device before making a decision.
The Galaxy Fold goes on sale on April 26th in the United States with pre-orders starting on April 12th. It goes up for pre-order in Europe on April 26th ahead of a release on May 3rd.
The Galaxy Fold is confirmed for release in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
If you're seriously debating buying this phone over the Galaxy S10 wait until you can go hands-on and compare the Galaxy Fold to other top devices from 2019.
Note that Samsung is marketing the Galaxy Fold as a super premium device. And because of that, it won't be in every single store.
Some of you you might even want to wait longer to decide on your next phone.
Samsung isn't the only company launching a tablet-phone hybrid in 2019. Chinese manufacturer Huawei has announced its own folding device, dubbed Mate X, and the device looks like a solid challenger for the Galaxy Fold.
Unfortunately, the Mate X's release window comes a bit later in the year. The company says it'll arrive sometime in June, July, or August.
