Wait for Potential Design Upgrades

There's a good chance the Apple Watch 7 looks different than its predecessors.

Back in September of last year, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said a "significant form factor design change" could come to the Apple Watch as soon as 2021.

He says 2021 is the earliest we see these changes so there's also a chance the Apple Watch 7 series looks similar to the Apple Watch 6 and previous models.

A report from Bloomberg states that Apple's "tested thinner display borders and a new lamination technique that brings the display closer to the front cover." The device might be thicker than previous models, but the publication claims it won't be noticeable.

According to leaker Jon Prosser, the Apple Watch 7 will come with a flat-edged design that's similar to the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro and a brand new green color.

Alleged Apple Watch 7 CAD renders showcase what the device could look like. These images supposedly come from industry sources. The images show off the rumored flat-edged design and bigger speakers.

We've also seen Apple Watch 7 clones emerge out of China giving us another look at the device's potential design.

That said, if you aren't in love with the current design or would just love to see something different, consider waiting.
