Wait for New Health Features
According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the Apple Watch 8 will come with several notable health upgrades.
Gurman claims the smartwatch may include "new women’s health, sleep, fitness and medication management features."
He also says Apple is planning to add a body-temperature sensor to the Apple Watch as soon as this year. The feature would initially be designed to help with fertility planning.
The company is also reportedly hoping to expand its atrial fibrillation detection feature and those changes could appear on board the upcoming watchOS 9 upgrade.
watchOS 9 will make its debut alongside iOS 16 at WWDC 2022 in June. WWDC kicks off on June 6th.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also believes there's a good chance the Apple Watch 8 brings a body-temperature sensor with it.
Kuo says the feature was originally supposed to debut on board the Apple Watch 7, but it failed to meet Apple's standards.
